ACP and Annals of Internal Medicine presented “COVID-19 Is No Longer a Public Health Emergency: Implications for Patients and Clinicians” on Friday, May 19. The latest edition of the forum series began with remarks from featured speaker Ashish Jha, MD, MPH, White House Coordinator of the COVID-19 Response. Following Dr. Jha, Michael Tan, MD, FACP, moderated a discussion among panelists on the end of the COVID-19 emergency and related issues physicians may face.

The panelists included Roger Bedimo, MD, MS, FACP, professor of internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and infectious diseases section chief at the VA North Texas Health Care System, Dallas, and Carlos del Rio, MD, FACP, executive associate dean and distinguished professor in the department of medicine, division of infectious diseases, at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
