Early tapering of opioid-dependent patients may lead to relapse

Tai chi as effective as physical therapy while opioids often not cost-effective for knee pain
A randomized trial found similar improvements in knee osteoarthritis outcomes with tai chi and physical therapy at 24 and 52 weeks. In another study, opioids did not appear to be cost-effective in knee osteoarthritis patients without comorbidities.

Very low-certainty evidence showed that cryotherapy was associated with a reduction in opioid consumption and pain improvement, while low-certainty or very low-certainty evidence showed that continuous passive motion and preoperative exercise offered no pain improvement or reduction in opioid consumption.
