Incontinence can hide in middle age
Women may suffer debilitating quality-of-life issues from urinary incontinence yet never mention it to their primary care physicians. The condition can be successfully managed by nonsurgical and nonpharmacological means, if physicians can tactfully bring up the subject first.

Daily aspirin more effective than alternate-day aspirin as primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, colon cancer in elderly women
Taking aspirin on alternate days is ineffective in preventing cancer or cardiovascular disease in most women, a new analysis of Women's Health Study data found. For many women 65 years of age or older, the benefits of daily aspirin for primary prevention of colon cancer and cardiovascular disease still outweigh the associated bleeding risk.

SSRIs may be associated with increased fracture risk in middle-aged women without mental disorders
Women without mental illness who started SSRIs and a cohort of women who started H2 antagonists or proton-pump inhibitors (without SSRIs) were compared, with a main study outcome of hip, humerus, radius, or ulna fractures 1 or more days after starting therapy.
