Seven-day quarantine may be sufficient for contacts without symptoms, older adults with mild disease may benefit from convalescent plasma, and cardiovascular deaths increased during the early stage of the pandemic.

Government officials announced that they plan to offer booster shots for the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Convalescent plasma didn't improve outcomes for high-risk outpatients in a trial, and two studies reported long-term effects of hospitalization for COVID-19.

Dapagliflozin reduced risk for hospitalization in CKD patients with or without diabetes
A post hoc analysis of an industry-funded trial found that dapagliflozin reduced overall risk of hospitalization as well as risk of hospitalization ending in death in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
