ACP reminds adults to get their influenza vaccination

National Influenza Vaccination Week 2022 is Dec. 5 to 9. ACP is urging all adults to get vaccinated to stay healthy during influenza season, especially with the holidays and family gatherings coming up. With higher influenza activity this season, and the combination of dry air and colder temperatures and the ongoing spread of both COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), those who remain unvaccinated are at greater risk of falling seriously ill.

ACP's I Raise the Rates Adult Immunization Resource Hub has links to useful resources and information to help physicians increase adult immunization rates in their practices, including the latest flu vaccine recommendations. Physicians who do not offer flu vaccines in their office are urged to recommend and refer their patients to nearby vaccination sites. ACP's new High Value Care Immunization Referral Toolkit helps physicians facilitate effective and collaborative immunization referrals.
