Make screening for prostate cancer an individual choice, USPSTF says
Prostate-specific antigen-based screening programs in men ages 55 to 69 years may prevent approximately 1.3 deaths from prostate cancer over approximately 13 years per 1,000 men screened, as well as approximately three cases of metastatic prostate cancer per 1,000 men screened, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) found.

Outcomes of limited cancer screening after unprovoked VTE similar to extensive screening
The overall prevalence of cancer in the 12 months after a diagnosis of venous thromboembolism was 5.2%. While the point prevalence was higher in patients receiving extensive screening than in those receiving limited screening, there was no significant difference at one year.

New guideline released on lung cancer screening
Among the recommendations is one stating that low-dose CT screening should not be performed in individuals who have accumulated fewer than 30 pack-years of smoking or who are younger than age 55 years or older than age 77 years, or who have quit smoking more than 15 years ago, and do not have a high risk of having/developing lung cancer based on clinical risk prediction calculators.
