Pharma payments associated with increased prescribing, systematic review finds
The review of 36 published studies found a consistent association between physicians' payments from pharmaceutical companies and prescribing of those companies' drugs as well as temporal and dose-response relationships, suggesting the association was causal.

Extended-release morphine didn't improve breathlessness in COPD
Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) randomized to two different doses of morphine or placebo for three weeks reported similar effects on breathlessness, an Australian trial found. Their step count also didn't change.
